Information, not a garage quote
Mendcost publishes research and general guidance about UK car-repair costs. Prices are indicative ranges drawn from the sources named on each guide. Your final quote can change with the vehicle, engine, location, parts, labour, diagnosis and work discovered after dismantling.
Nothing on Mendcost is a binding quote, mechanical diagnosis, safety instruction or substitute for advice from a qualified technician who has inspected the vehicle.
Safety comes first
Do not delay urgent inspection because a guide suggests that a repair may be affordable or optional. Warning lights, braking faults, steering faults, overheating, oil-pressure warnings and unusual noises can indicate unsafe or damaging conditions. Stop driving when the manufacturer, emergency services or a competent technician advises you to do so.
Accuracy and updates
We work to the process described in our editorial standards and methodology. Sources can change their prices or guidance without notice. Publication and ?last checked? dates tell you when a figure was verified; they do not guarantee that every provider still offers that price today.

Editorial independence
No garage pays to appear in the current cost comparisons. If Mendcost later earns commission from a link, sponsorship or advertising, the commercial relationship will be disclosed clearly without changing the underlying price-verification standard.
