What we collect
Information you send
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, selected topic and message. The form sends the message to the site operator by email; Mendcost does not create a public account or save the message as a WordPress post.
Technical information
The hosting provider may process standard server-log data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, date and time. This is used to deliver the site, diagnose faults and protect it from abuse.
Analytics
Mendcost uses Google Analytics through Site Kit only where the visitor has made the relevant consent choice. Analytics helps us understand which guides are useful and how the site performs. It is not required to read the site.
Cookies and consent
Necessary cookies support security and remember privacy choices. Optional analytics or advertising storage is not enabled for a visitor until the relevant consent is given where consent is required. You can reject optional cookies and continue using the site.
If display advertising is introduced, this notice and the consent controls will be reviewed before ads go live. Google and other advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies only in line with the choices presented to the visitor. Learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites.
Why we use information
- To deliver and secure the website.
- To answer messages and correction requests.
- To measure readership where the visitor has consented.
- To meet legal obligations and defend the site against misuse.
Depending on the activity, the legal basis is providing the service you requested, legitimate interests in operating a secure publication, consent for optional analytics or advertising, or compliance with law.
Who receives information
Data may be processed by the hosting provider, email provider, security and performance services, and Google where its services are enabled. These providers act under their own terms and data-protection obligations. Mendcost does not sell personal data.
International transfers

How long information is kept
